  Radiology Department  
 
The Radiology Department will provide diagnostic services that meet international standards and patients requirements by working as a team and as individuals with professionalism in co-ordination with other departments.

Specialties :

  1. Ultrasound Scan :
    • High-resolution ultrasound examination of the abdomen and pelvis.
    • Imaging of the superficial structures- thyroid, testis, orbits and musculoskeletal systems.
    • Transcranial, transvaginal and endorectal ultrasounds.
    • OB & GYNAE Ultrasound, performed only by FEMALE Staff. 
    • Hip ultrasound for congenital dislocation.

  2. Doppler Imaging :
    3. Doppler studies for the evaluation of the upper and lower limb vasculature for arteries and veins, carotid circulation, pregnancy, cord and fetal circulation.

  3. Fluoroscopy examination to image:
    • Esophagus, upper GIT and lower GIT comprising of barium swallow, meal,
      • small bowel enema, barium follow through and barium enema.
    • Imaging of the genitourinary tract by IVU, MCU, RGU, cystography, HSG.
    • Evaluation of salivary glands by sialography.
    • Assessment of fistulas.
    • Venogram
    • Myelogram

  4. MRI :
    • MRI angiography
    • Routine MRI of brain, spine, joints-knees, shoulders, ankles, elbows & wrist.
    • MRCP
    • MR arthrography.


  5. CT:
    • CT scanning of brain, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis and skeletal system.
    • CT pelvimetry.
    • 3D reconstruction images
    • High resolution CT angiography


  6. Mammogram and ultrasound of breast for early detection of CA.


  7. Nuclear imaging:
    • Thallium studies are done
    • Thyroid scan
    • Bone scan
    • VQ and others

  8. General Radiology :
    • Radiograph of the skeletal system and chest, etc. taken.
    • Tomography techniques are available.

  9. Bone Densitometry:
    10. For the diagnosis of osteoporosis.


  10. Intervention procedures:
    • Trapping-abscess, pleural effusion ascites.
    • Biopsy – FNA.
    • Arthograms.
    • Antegrade pyelogram.
    • Nephrostomy.

  • EIGHT rooms for ultrasonography and color Doppler imaging.

Radiology department is equipped with latest state of art technology, including facilities like MRI, Bone densitometry, CT, Nuclear imaging, Color Doppler Ultrasound, Mammogram and flouroscopy.

We have a staff comprising a skilled technologist and qualified medical doctors who strive to meet the patients requirements to facilities an early diagnosis.
