Dr. Hind Ahmed Samir Consultant Pediatrics who is assigned to follow-up the case of the mentioned premature baby, said that the fetus was a subject of a number of complications that are well known with the preterm babies, including premature lungs and difficulty of breathing, that necessitates to connect the baby a mechanical ventilator for a long time, in addition to septicemia and meningitis that may endanger the life of the baby, but fortunately, he was treated with great success. According to Dr. Hind, the child is now in a              good condition weighing 2 kg because of the intensive care received in Riyadh Care Hospital.   Dr. Fath El-Rahman – Consultant and head of Department of Pediatrics in RCH, had attributed that achievement to the grace of Allah and then to the modern equipment In intensive care unit that are specialized for newborns in the hospital, including (medical monitors – mechanical ventilation - resistance devices - nurseries). Also available in the intensive care unit for children, a supply unit for high-frequency mechanical ventilation, and a supply unit of nitrous oxide. The Head of Department mentioned that the working team in NICU had been recently increased under the supervision of distinguished highly trained specialists in Neonatology, and highly              trained nursing team for neonates, specialized in critical cases, in addition to specialists in psychological treatment. He also pointed out to the recent increase in the capacity of the intensive care unit of Neonates from four to twelve-beds, in addition to 2 beds for the cases of isolation and three beds for intermediate care   " Riyadh Care Hospital " Saves the life of a patient fell from the third floor   A patient was brought by an ambulance to the Emergency Department in Riyadh Care Hospital, where he was in critical condition after falling from a height of three floors. On his arrival, the patient was in severe back pain and unable to move his legs. The first aids were immediately performed, with thorough clinical examination was done by a specialized medical team looking for the existence of any head, chest or abdominal injuries, and to determine the location and extent of injury in spinal cord. CT scan and MRI (Magnetic resonance Image) were also done in order to clarify the extent of the injury of the spinal cord and nerves. According to the mentioned investigations, the case was diagnosed as a comminuted fracture and              dislocation of the ninth and tenth dorsal vertebrae with direct pressure on the spinal cord leading to paralysis of the lower limbs with double incontinence (inability to control both defecation and urination).     Immediate surgical intervention was done under the supervision of Dr. Sherif Fathi Consultant Orthopedic and spine surgery in RCH in order to alleviate the suffering of the patient, and a speedy return to normal as soon as possible, and with the grace of Allah, the surgical operation was done, and the vertebral column was successfully fixed with metal rods and screws after the reduction of the fractures and dislocation to normal position and after the release of spinal cord compression. Thanks to the rapid surgical intervention, the patient could sit immediately after the stability of the spine where this could facilitate to start the required physiotherapy and rehabilitation program, without having to stay in bed for long periods, and thanks be to Allah, the patient could get out of bed and move his lower limbs, and is now under a special program of Physical Therapy.   Dr. Sulaiman Al-Samhan, head of Physical Therapy in RCH, said that the patient's condition is on continuous improvement, and he is under an integrated program of physical therapy, and that in a matter of days the patient is going to practice a normal life, and add that the Department of Physical Therapy in RCH is characterized by great potentials ( Whether the qualified human resources, the advanced devices and technologies). Dr. Sheriff Fathi, said that the key of success of such cases is due to the rapid transfer of the patient from the scene of the accident, and the              accurate diagnosis with the rapid surgical intervention, together with the availability of the suitable program of medical rehabilitation, all did help in saving the life of the patient and returned him quickly to normal life.   Modern techniques for diagnosing diseases «in Riyadh Care hospital »   Riyadh Care Hospital had Received one of the patients in a deplorable condition where the patient is complaining of high fever and shortness of breathing that led to renal failure and partial hepatic failure, and reduction in the number of red blood cells. The reqired investigations were done immediately, and revealed the presence of lobar pneumonia and acute pleural effusion, a disease known as (Legionnaire's disease). The sample was sent to Biocentia Lab. In Germany to confirm the diagnosis, and the result came back positive. Riyadh Care Hospital had subjected the patient to regular sessions of renal              dialysis for a month and a half in the dialysis unit in addition to blood transfusion and an intensive antibiotic therapy to eradicate this organism.   Thanks to Allah, the patient has got complete healing and returned back to his normal life, with kidneys working normally, and normal liver enzymes and red blood cells, and pneumonia was also cleared.   In the interest of the RCH to provide service and comfort to the patients, in addition to rapid performance of investigations, modern technologies had been brought and attracted, and so, the results of investigations could be obtained in a matter of 24 hours in the laboratories of RCH, and hence to get an accurate diagnosis of the disease.     Students of Medicine, King Saud University, visited Riyadh Care Hospital       A group of students of medicine at the University of King Saud bin Abdulaziz for Health Sciences in the Faculty of Medicine, King Fahad Medical City had paid a visit to Riyadh Care Hospital, during there visit, they toured throughout the Hospital visited to some departments of the hospital, like as admission and operating rooms. The company was founded in August 2003 as a joint stock company, closed from the public sector and represented by general organization for social insurance, and a group of share holders from the private sector. Care Co. owns the most important hospitals of private sector in Riyadh, RCH which was founded in 1990, and RNH that was founded in 1966.     During the press conference that had followed the signing of the contracts, Engineers Abdulla Al Eissa, Chairman of Board Directors had assured that the projects are committed from Care Co. to meet the needs of the community in providing an advanced health quality and medical specialties in our beloved kingdom, and to keep abreast of the on going progress in health and technology in health field, and to keep the company as one of the pioneers of health services providers in the kingdom, through the investments and administration of health services in a way to insure the optimal use of its customers, employees, investors and the community as well.   Today, Care Co. could conclude the contract of establishment of the new building of RNH with total area 13,500 m3, and 63,000 m3 for the buildings. That was done in agreement with the company executing the project "Taroug" Saudi Lebanese Company, in a total cost SR. 278 M and supervising the Bureau of Saudi Engineering Union with about SR 8,5M, for a period of 38 months of implementation in the same current location of RNH.   The new tower of RNH contains 8 floors with 200 bed capacity. It includes an ICU with 12 bed capacity, in addition to 50 clinics in different medical specialties, 6 OR equipped with up to date high quality medical equipments of international measurements. It is also contains an integrate department of Gynecology & Obstetrics, 10 seats for renal dialysis, in addition to other sections like, laboratories, radiology, Central Sterilization, Medical records, pharmacies, In-patient wards, etc.   In addition to 2 floors in the basement as a car parking with 400 cars capacity, beside to other floors beside the hospital for cars of hospital employees. The project is considered as a part of the company's plan to modernize and expand the oldest hospitals in Riyadh.   A contract was signed also for the establishment of the family medicine center and the administrative building as a total cost of SR 27 m, for a period of 18 months of implementation.   The building of family medicine is located on 2700 m2 surface area, and 5,500 m2 for the building area in Al Rowdah district, east of Riyadh. The center contains 18 clinics in different medical specialties and equipped with high quality most recent medical equipments, in addition to laboratories and radiology depts. and a large pharmacy with all health requirements. The center provides an accommodation for nurses and a basement for car parking of 70 car capacity.   This project was planned to be a high class medical health model, and in a modern form that meets all the needs of the family in the main specialties in the reachable residential areas, on the way raise the health level of residents, in addition to providing the best medical and health services with high quality in short time and without difficulty in reviewing referring facilities, as the center arrange the referral if the case needs special consultation or special investigations in one of "Care" hospitals.   The third project that had been concluded today is the establishment of the administrative building of NMC company located in Rayan area next to RCH in total area of 2660 m2. the building consists of 3 floors and a basement for car parking, and includes a number of departments: Marketing, Material Management, Finance, Human Resources, IT, and planning management, in order to meet the growth of the company's works and the expansion in different activities and solidification of the company's name as an active member in the national health sector. The project of the administrative building is considered as a fulcrum to our current operations and a building block for the future of the company that participate in its growth and prosperity.   Mr. Othaman Aba Hussein, the Executive DG of NMC, has assured of implementing its strategic plans based on the bases of development and progress in providing the best medical services in accordance with high quality.
