Specialties

Orthopedic Surgery: The Orthopedic Unit in Surgery Dept. is considered the spear head of the department activities. It offers medical services in all delicate fields of subspecialties.
a. Trauma:The Orthopedic Unit, being concerned to deal with occupational hazards injuries, has developed fine experience to deal with trauma cases whether due to falls, machines injuries or road traffic accidents. The unit is equipped with the most updated techniques to fix fractures whether internally of externally allowing early mobilization and ambulation of the injured patientd patient

b. Joint Replacement: In Orthopaedic Unit, all types of joint replacement are performed mainly o the hips and knees. Replacement of these joints have offered a solution of a major problem facing patients in our society

c. Spine Surgery: The unit has the facility to deal with the most critical pathologies affecting the spine.

-Prolapsed discs can be excised using microsurgery.

-Spine fractures can be fixed internally, with decompression of the spinal cord and nerve roots.

-Spine stenosis and degenerative instability can be managed surgically.

-Spine tumors and infections can be surgically excised offering replacement of destroyed vertebrae.

-Spine deformities and scoliosis are corrected and fixed surgically.
