Nursing Department

Nursing Administration is dedicated to providing qualified nurses who are knowledgeable, courteous, committed and competent.  The department is committed to provide continuous clinical and educational in-services to maintain and improve nursing skills in order to give quality health care services at International Standards and promote customer satisfaction.

Outpatient Nursing Department provides optimum quality of service by delivering nursing care at International Standards and promotes satisfaction for all clientele.  We are dedicated to provide this in a competent, respectful and professional manner.

In-Patient Nursing Care Services provide optimal patient outcomes, meeting International Nursing Standards that are cost effective and promoting quality health care to all patients.  We educate patients and their families and strive to meet the customer needs in a competent, courteous and professional manner.

 

Sections

Nursing Administration – take charge of Nursing QI, Infection Control and Educational activities.

Ward 1A

– Male Rehabilitation – 29 beds {Equipped with a multi-purpose recreation rooms for rehab patients)

Ward 1B

– Male Surgical – 33 beds.

Ward 1C

– Male Medical/Surgical – 27 beds.

Ward 2A

– Female Medical/Surgical – 22 beds.

Ward 2B

– Maternity – 24 beds.

Ward 2C

– Pediatric – 22 beds.

Ward 3B

– General Ward – 21 beds.

Ward 4A

– V.I.P. – 11 suites.

Ward 4B

– V.I.P. – 9 suites.

ICU/CCU

– main (15 beds)/Stepdown in Ward 1C (3 beds)

OR/RR

– Main OR 5 theatres, L & D 2 theatres, ER 2 theaters

NICU/IMCU/

Normal Nursery

– 5 NICU / 6 IMCU & Isolation / 30 bassinets Normal Newborn Nursery with a circumcision / breastfeeding room.  Senior Nurses conduct one-on-one basic infant care and  breastfeeding training to mothers during admission. Labor & Delivery – Labor room beds = 8, Preparation roombeds = 1 (Average deliveries/month: 255+)

RDU

– 5 dialysis machine beds = 3 for clean case, 1 for Hepatitis C,1 Hepatitis B (Average census/month:  215+). A standby portable machine is in place for ICU/CCU  patients. A plan to expand the unit to 10 machines is underway.

E.R. & G.P. Clinics

 – 5 GP clinics, 6 cubicles, 4-bed Pedia /Obs, 4-bed Male Obs,1 Trauma Room / 1 triage room (Average patient seen/month:  8600+).

Outpatient Department:

Out-Patient Pediatric

OB/Gyne

 – 6 clinics / 1 multi-purpose procedure  room / 1 CTG & 2 vital signs rooms  (Average patient seen/month: 2,400++ / OB  Education = 250+)

Internal Medicine

– 16 clinics / 1 vital room / an extensive 2 machine Endoscopy (Average patient seen/month: 5,200+ / Endoscopy = 105+)

Surgery

 – 19 clinics + 1 Lithotripsy Room /  1 Laser Room / 1 VS / 1 Premetry rooms/ **8 new clinics was recently  added (Average patient seen/month  : 5,050+)

C.S.S.D.

 – equipped with 100% ETO Sterilization  Machine, high vacuum sterilizer, ultrasonic cleaner, washer disinfector and a heat sealing machine with printer for sterilization and expiration date..

Thank you for visiting our homepage.  Nursing Services at Riyadh Care Hospital is administered on an American JCAHO model with a full infrastructure of Policy Manuals, Job Description, Evaluations, Standard Problem Oriented Documentation, Nursing Quality Improvement, Education and Nursing Practice Committees.

This Department is committed to provide excellent professional holistic nursing care through the nursing process, to individuals and their families within a multi-disciplinary international group in a variety of clinical settings.

Inherent in this belief is respect for the dignity and privacy of individuals while providing care in a professional ethical manner to promote and maintain wellness, assist in recovery and/or adaptation to limitations and maintain the dignity of self in terminal illness.

Nursing is an accountable profession committed to Continuing Education for its members, on-going Quality Improvement research and evaluation of Nursing Practice in order to maintain current professional standards and contribute to the Theory and Practice of Nursing.

All Nurses are professional individuals who are accountable and responsible for their Nursing Practice and whose contribution to the patient care is important.  Each Nurse has a responsibility to share his/her experience, skills and knowledge with colleagues and has the right to have her opinions and suggestions regarding patient care considered.

Nurses use communication, clinical skills, interpersonal relationships and organization and management skills as the foundation of providing nursing care thru the Nursing Process.
