The world is experiencing rapid scientific and technological advancement.  This fact contributed to that many nations, government and different societies continuously trying to achieve advancement.  Our government under the leadership of the Custodial of the two Holy Mosques has exerted tremendous efforts to have all organizations in all fields (private and public) capable of providing their services at the most modern and advanced standards.  This governmental support has provided continuation of prosperities in the healthcare field in the kingdom among other fields.  The testimony for this advancement are known.  Many of the neighboring countries' citizens are coming to Saudi Arabia to seek specialized healthcare.

Riyadh Care Hospital is one of the national leading healthcare in the private sector dedicated to extend quality services to patients in accordance with the international standards.  We are continuously trying to update the different specialities through access to the latest information for all staff's specialtiy.  Our vision is to be a center of excellence for expanding specialities. 

In view of the above, and to communicate with the worldwide utilizing the new tools in communication and information technology, we have launched this website to provide a new channel for our customers and patients.  This is to furnish them with all hospital guidelines and systems in addition to the preventive healthcare information.  These were made possible because we, at Riyadh Care Hospital, believe that we should do an extensive effort to provide not only treatment, but health education as well.  Thus, we established an access in our website, which is the E-clinic to answer all inquiries from our customers.  Since our patients and clients are priority, we wish visitors to this website can give us their feedback, comments, and suggestions to continue improve our services.

Mission Statement: The Medical Administration is dedicated to provide high quality healthcare in accordance to the established international standards.  Ensuring that the hospital is equipped with advanced equipment and technology amalgamated with recruiting highly qualified and competent medical staff is one of the major concern of the department as this will lead to provision of high standard of medical care to patient satisfaction.

Department under Medical Administration

There are nine(9) departments under the umbrella of the medical administration. These departments are headed by responsible and competent members of the medical staff who are all well-qualified and experienced in their own field of discipline. These departments are as follows: 

  1. Department of Internal Medicine. Head: Dr. Shahed Omar, Consultant Endocrinologist.

  2. Department of Surgery, Acting Head: Dr.Vellai Thangadurai, Consultant E.N.T. Surgeon.

  3. Department of Paediatrics. Head: Dr. Fath-elrahman Ahmad Ali, Consultant Pediatrician.

  4. Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Head: Dr. Shahida Shamdeen, Consultant OB/Gynecologist.

  5. Department of Anesthesia. Head: Dr.Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim, Consultant Anesthesiologist

  6. Accident & Emergency Department. Head: Dr. Taha Takroni, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon.

  7. Dental Department. Acting Head: Dr. Hamid Ali. Consultant Dentist / Oral.

  8. Radiology Department. Head:        Dr. Fawaz Skaff, Consultant Radiologist.

  9. Laboratory Department. Head: Dr. Maryam El-Hassan, Consultant Hematologist.

Equipment

State-of-the-art equipment and technology are available in each department.  To name a few are as follows:

  1. We have a 15-bedded Intensive Care Unit which is well-designed, roomy and highly equipped according to international standards.

  2. Our cardiology section is equipped with modern facilities like Echocardiography, Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring and Nuclear Medicine.

  3. We have a well-equipped Endoscopy unit for liver biopsies, upper and lower endoscopies, ERCP’s and can handle all gastro-intestinal emergencies.

  4. We have an advanced physiological testing lab for EMG’s, NCS, Evoked potentials and EEG and pulmonary lab for computerized lung function test, Spirometry and Bronchoscopy.

  5. Our dental department has its own dental lab for making crowns, bridges, appliances and can also provide cosmetic dentistry.

  6. Our Radiology Department is equipped with MRI, CT-Scan, Gamma Camera Machines, etc.

Credentialing & Privileging Committee

The Credentialing and Privileging Committee is one of the many committees being chaired by the Chief of Medical Staff.  This committee is membered by all heads of departments under medical administration, the Director of Manpower and the Quality Improvement Physician (non-voting).  The committee meets monthly and its charges are as follows:

  1. To delineate the credentialing and clinical privileging system to be used for each medical staff appointee.

  2. To develop the relevant policies and procedures for new appointments and promotions.

  3. To follow the duties and responsibilities of the Credentialing committee as outlined in the medical staff by-laws, rules and regulations.

Infection Control Committee

In order for the hospital to be able to provide quality patient care, the hospital promotes the hospital-wide participation in the practices that will lead to the detection, prevention, controlling, and resolving of hospital and community acquired infection. The Chief of Medical Staff chairs this important committee. The purpose of this committee is to plan and maintain an effective infection control program which is designed to systematically monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality of patient care, and the efficiency of the healthcare service rendered in the hospital.  The committee meets monthly and the Infection Control Coordinator produces and maintains a climate of communication and teamwork that will motivate all hospital staff to actively participate, in their own way, the infection control program of the hospital.

Quality Improvement Committee

The Chief of Medical Staff also chairs this committee.  The purpose of this committee is to plan and maintain an effective Quality Improvement Program, which is designed to systematically monitor, evaluate, improve the quality of patient care, clinical performance, and the efficiency of the healthcare service.  The committee reports to the Director General and meets monthly.  Some of the major responsibilities of the committee are as follows:

  1. To develop and monitor the purpose, goals and objectives of the department and review activities, monthly, quarterly and on annual basis.

  2. Reviews and approves the Quality Improvement plan, utilization of resources, and other quality functions.

  3. Serves as advisory body for all service-specific monitoring and evaluation activities, hospital-wide.

  4. Ensures communication of information among departments, services and committees, as regards to Quality Improvement.

  5. Reviews quality and utilization reports.

  6. To plan orientation, staff development and continuing education for department staff.

  7. To review and ensure compliance with Quality Improvement Standards.

The Professional Services

With the application of Hospital Web Site, this will highlight and express our mission, that is: 

“Riyadh Care Hospital is dedicated to provide Quality Healthcare services meeting international standards.  Satisfying our customers is our primary concern, and we consistently strive to meet their needs by providing fair and equal access to our services at reasonable rates.  Our employees at all levels of the organization are committed to provide compassionate, courteous, and competent professional care, which will result in optimal clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.” 

As for the overview of our organizational structure, there are 7 departments directly under the Division of Professional Services such as follows: Pharmacy, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Physiological Testing, Medical Records, and Food & Nutrition Services.  The Professional Services Division has also the jurisdiction over the technicians assigned with the following departments: Radiology, Laboratory, Surgery/Ortho., Anaesthesia, and Dental.  With that wide coverage of responsibility on top of the hospital management, the Director of Professional Services is also shouldering the Chairmanship of the following major committees: Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Space Allocation, and Products (Disposable & Consumables).  In addition, also chairs the standing  committee as follows: Committee on Establishment & Development of Overall Educational Activities Body (Training), and Sub-Contracts Services (Food Service) Committee. The position itself requires as a member and involvement on various important committees.  It plays a major role in organizing and supporting various scientific meetings and hospital activities

The Hospital and Affiliated facilities

The Riyadh Care Hospital has been designed in accordance with the best technical and architectural specifications, in conformity with the latest methods of construction engineering.

Its building reflect a homogenous architectural structure and splendid design, covered with marble on all its facades and sidewalks. It is surrounded by spectacular green landscapes and beautiful gardens all around the main Hospital and its residential area in a manner that guarantees utmost peace of mind for patients, staff and visitors alike.

 

General Objectives

This Hospital was basically established, to realize numerous grand objectives including:

  1. Provision of medical services of the highest standards to the public in general, and to the workforce elements covered by the Kingdom's social insurance system for the occupational hazards in particular.

  2. Provision of up-to-date services, not only with respect to the level of professional medical care, but also as regards the high standard of medical equipment available.

  3. Providing all the means of accurate diagnosis and treatment including sophisticated facilities in addition to consultants, technologists and nursing teams highly qualified in their respective fields. These teams of experts are recruited from the advanced countries to work hand in hand with their highly qualified Saudi counterparts in order to provide best health care standards for the patients.

  4. Providing the appropriate environment not only for excellent diagnosis and treatment of disease, but also for disseminating health education and scientific medical knowledge.

  5. In addition to all the above objectives, the Riyadh Care Hospital is intended to be an investment project for GOSI (General Organization Social Insurance). Consequently, and in order to guarantee the success of such investment, an elite group of consultants have been recruited for the various specialties and sub-specialties housed under the roof of this Hospital.

Hospital Capacity

This Hospital's capacity is (255) beds, exclusive of the beds assigned for the nursery. All the Hospital rooms are equipped with all the means of comfort, designed to help the patient recover quickly, with God's permission, in an atmosphere of utmost care.

 

Admission & Reception

As soon as the patient or visitor enters the Hospital, he will find a spacious and elegant lobby wherein he is welcomed by specialized receptionists who would guide him and help him start his treatment process.

 

A new patient is registered in the out-patient clinics of the Hospital. All his pertinent data are entered into the computer, and as soon as this process is completed, the patient is provided with a printed registration card which facilitates the retrieval of all the data pertaining to him whenever he visits any of the Hospital departments.
